Grange Paddocks Meadow (Red, White and Blue)

Have your say: Draft Greenspace Action Plan 2026-2031

Hertfordshire County Council’s Countryside Management Service and East Herts Council are developing a new Greenspace Action Plan to enhance Grange Paddocks Meadow (the ‘Red, White and Blue’) over the next 5 years.

To ensure the plan reflects the views of stakeholders and the local community, you are invited to comment on the draft. Your feedback will help shape and finalise the plan. 

Key features of the plan are:

Restoring a Floodplain Meadow – 

Using grazing by rare breed cattle and

Conservation cut and lift to boost biodiversity.

 

Improve Access and Connectivity – 

Better entrances, pathways and 

year-round access.

 

Explore Wetland Enhancement – 

Exploring ways to reconnect natural

river processes.

 

Improve Community Involvement – 

involve the local community in volunteering, 

citizen science and fostering a sense of 

ownership for the site.
