Stortford Shuttle (STSH) - The Town Bus for Everyone!
LATEST UPDATE: Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances the Stortford Shuttle service will not be running Wednesday 26th November - Normal service is expected to return tomorrow (27th November 2025) from 07:50 hrs. Apologies for this inconvenience.
Stortford Shuttle (STSH) is a community bus service that travels around the Bishop's Stortford. It operates Monday-Friday 07:50-15:00 hrs and Saturdays 09:00-13:00 hrs (except bank holidays). This service has a 1 hour circular route that starts and ends at Herts and Essex Hospital. Stortford Shuttle travels travels through the Town Centre 12 times every weekday and 8 times every Saturday. The registered route covers Thorley, Havers, Parsonage, Bishop's Gate and Herts and Essex Hospital and Town Centre (it loops through the Town Centre and Herts and Essex Hospital twice every hour).

You do not have to wait at a bus stop, if you prefer you can hop on somewhere along the route you just need to hold out your hand, and the driver will stop at the closest safe space. Stortford Shuttle travels along some areas not covered by the commercial bus companies.
You can get around town for just £3 (single journey) or pay £5.00 for an all day ticket.
Older persons and disabled bus passes as well as Herts Saver Cards are accepted. All welcome!

Self Drive Hire
Bishop's Stortford Community Transport CIO also provides a self-drive Hire minibus service. If you are a "not-for-profit" group/charity thinking about organising a regular weekly outing, or just simply want to arrange a day trip for your members then why not try our affordable Self-Drive Hire minibus service. Groups will need to provide their own driver with a D1 entitlement on their driving licence and travel with Section 19 Permit where necessary. The buses seat between 13-15 passengers plus 1 driver driver, are automatic and can accommodate one or two wheelchairs upon request.
