Christmas Fayre

Join us at the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 5th December 2026 from 9.30am until 4.30pm, in North Street, Market Square, Potter Street, and South Street, all of which will be pedestrianised.
Over 100 stalls will complement the regular traders from our Thursday and Saturday Market as well as the monthly Farmer’s and Craft Market. You will be able to explore an exciting array of unique handmade gifts stalls, selling jewellery, candles, health and beauty products, and much more. You will be tempted by delicious locally made jams, chutney, cakes, and fudges. Make sure you visit our speciality Christmas stalls offering festive items and gifts, food, and drinks. Hungry shoppers can keep the cold at bay with many warming delights from our hot food stalls, whilst also enjoying a festive beverage between stall shopping.
Throughout the town centre there will be a variety of music and entertainment for the whole family and Santa will also be popping by to say Happy Christmas!

A standard pitch is 3m x 3m at a cost of £65.00. A discounted rate of £40.00 per 3m x 3m pitch is available for Bishop's Stortford BID members (proof of BID membership required).
A catering pitch is 3m x 3m at a cost of £110.00. A discounted rate of £85.00 per 3m x 3m pitch is available for Bishop's Stortford BID members .

Please be aware that it is not permitted to have unlicensed stalls on the pavement outside of the shops on Christmas Fayre as this poses a health and safety risk to pedestrians.
Road Closure:
The bottom of South Street through to the end of North Street is closed from 6am to 7pm on Saturday 5th December 2026 and strictly no vehicle access is permitted during those hours. The purpose of the Traffic Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the Christmas Fayre.
