VOLUNTEER TRUSTEE VACANCIES
Make a real difference in people’s lives and your local community!
Who are Bishop's Stortford Community Transport
Bishop's Stortford Community Transport CIO (BSCT) provides essential community transport services for vulnerable and socially isolated people. We run the much-loved Stortford Shuttle community bus and also offer a limited affordable not-for-profit self-drive hire for charities and community groups.
These services ensure elderly residents, people with special needs or learning difficulties, and families can stay connected to their community, access shops, and attend vital health appointments. What does being a Trustee involve?
As a Trustee, you will help guide and make decisions about the work of BSCT, ensuring our services remain sustainable and effective for those who rely on them. Note: Bishop’s Stortford Town Council supports the charity by managing the day-to-day operations and providing administrative support.
-
Trustees are volunteers and meet four times a year for board meetings (no longer than 2 hours).
-
Meetings are held either in person at Council Chambers Suite, Bishop’s Stortford Town Council, The Old Monastery, Windhill, Bishop’s Stortford CM23 2ND or online via MS Teams.
-
You don’t need previous trustee experience – just enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to give back to your community.
